Between salt and sand: how plant species manage to live on beaches and lagoons

30 September 2023 @ 17:00 - 18:30

On Saturday 30 September we want to take you on a journey into the fascinating world of plants, but not just any plants or those that can grow anywhere….

The botanist Giuseppe Oriolo, specialized in botanical monitoring, in the cartography of habitats and vegetation and in the planning of natural areas, will lead us to the discovery of a unique environment that we are lucky enough to preserve within the Valle Cavanata Nature Reserve.

The meeting is set at 5.00 pm at Casa Spina (the exact location will be provided during the booking process) accessible only with a guide, where it will be possible to observe one of the few examples of a natural beach not affected by bathing and artificial nourishment along the entire coast regional.

Participation in the event is free and will last 1.5 hours. It is recommended to wear comfortable clothes and sneakers.

PARTICIPATION METHOD

The event is organized with a limited number of people. Participation is possible only by reservation. To join, send an email to info.educationcavanata@gmail.com with your name and telephone number.
