In addition to conservation, one of the functions of a nature reserve is also the training and education of those who spend time there. Along the paths of the Reserve, which can be visited independently for free even outside the opening hours of the Visitor Centre, several explanatory panels have been placed that explore various important historical and wildlife aspects of the Valle Cavanata Nature Reserve.

School groups of all ages, summer camps and private groups can also book a guided tour or a workshop that will help you to get to know the Reserve and its precious inhabitants or deepen a one or other particular wildlife theme.

Workshops, with themes ranging from botany to ornithology and ecology, are modulated according to the group and always see a direct involvement of the students who during the event collect data, identify plants, search for tracks and learn to recognize the different species of birds present in the Reserve.
