How do flamingos sleep? Who is the king of the Reserve? How does the kingfisher use its beak? How many countries do our geese go to?
There are many questions that children ask us when they come to visit the Valle Cavanata Nature Reserve, and at the Visitor Center we answer even the most curious ones. But we can’t always be there, so we decided to create an activity book just for children, which with games and coloring pages tells the many aspects of our reserve and responds to their curiosities.
Here you will find a copy of the goose’s passport, we “stole” it to understand where it goes when it leaves us. Then there are the images of the leaves of our trees to learn how to distinguish them, a game to discover the diet of a bird by looking at the shape of its beak, many drawings to color and hidden words to find.
The booklet “Cavanata, a special place to be discovered between sky and water” will be presented on Saturday 24 September at 3 pm, and after distributing it to the participants we will use it together for an activity. The booklet will then remain freely available to all other children who will come to visit us in the coming months (while stocks last).

The event is organized with a limited number. Participation is only possible by reservation. To join, send an email to with your name and a telephone number. The reservation is effective upon receipt of the confirmation by the staff of the Valle Cavanata Nature Reserve. Participation in the event is free.
